Pieces

I intend to make some of my shorter written works into engraved magnets and different designs and ideas into coasters. Other things have taken priority over these last three+ years so these pieces are still just computer files and plans. In the hope that, right now, someone might be comforted, inspired, encouraged, or helped in any way by the writings that will be engraved on the magnets, here they are for you:

  • A stanza I wrote in 2019 titled Piercing Light, which says, "When our days are dark shadows of hell and hope's a mere illusion it seems, light pierces our hearts so within us can be poured the Living Hope's pure streams."
  • A poem I wrote in 2019 titled Unimaginable, which says, "Unimaginable perhaps, but never unbelievable that there's One who walked on water; that there's One who commands the wind; that this Lord over creation came to rescue us from darkness, to forgive our sins and to cleanse; that the One who loved us to death declared in rising that He's life; that, by grace, we're saved through faith in the Redeemer, Messiah, Christ."
  • A poem I wrote in 2019 titled Wellspring, which says, "Instead of self-pity, I will praise Jesus Christ, my Lord, the Risen King, in whom I have hope all of my days and the grace to draw from His wellspring."

The third one (Wellspring) has been shared as it was originally written, but I plan to make versions that will have other things that I’ve struggled with in self-pity’s place: giving up, giving in, despairing, hardening, turning back, holding back, worrying. Let me know if there is another word or phrase that would be a blessing to you in that spot. The current words/phrases are each three syllables, but if there’s not a fitting synonym for what you want there, the syllables don’t really matter. Again, I won’t have the magnets ready for quite a while, but if you do reach out about one, I’ll let you know when they’re finished. 🙂
